Today was a sad day as I left my Bullit outside work for all of two minutes to open the back door and retrieve it when I found it was gone. Poor old bike, had it since 2002 and it treated me well.

I am currently looking at a devinci Frantic, seems like a decent bike?

Your homeowners/renters insurance will cover the cost of the bike if you claim it. You may need a police report, but it is time well spent if you are looking at buying a good bike.

A friend in college got 1400 bucks from his homeowners policy when his MTB was stolen on campus.

Good luck and I am sorry to hear about this. Maybe the thief will get hit by a car while riding it.......

The good news is that you get an new toy to go with the new toy that you just got.

When a bike is stolen, it's like losing an old friend. Sorry for your loss.

So why do bother having insurance? Claim it.

Because if we have another claim within a year our insurance would go up, not worth taking that risk for 800 dollars.

Made a big mistake and looked at the new Kona bikes, man they are building some sweet lightweight 6 plus inch travel bikes that pedal very well.

Thinkin Devinci Franik2, Pretty heavey bike but it will hold up to semi big hits.

Thanks all for info...

Just picked up a 2 year old Frantik by Devinci, going out tonight for my first ride.

Update ya later

i have a gary fisher cake 2 dlx and it has been a very good mtb. I like the geometry of these bikes, something about them makes it easier to pedal.

Is that a simular frame style to the Devinci?

First ride impression was very very good, climbed great even out of the saddle and went down hill fast. Only downside so far is tunability of the front 66 fork, lacks some rebound controls that I am use to on higher end forks.

Otherwise, two thumbs up.

Edit, this is not a cross country bike nore is a light bike at 42pounds, but compared to my Bullit its pretty light.
