Hey all. My 2000 LC is acting up today. It will only run if I keep my foot on the pedal. When I pull off it will stall out.

There is a buzzing noise coming from the throttle body. When I disconnect the wires to the TB, the buzzing stops.

I have been searching the internet for the last 3 hours and haven't found much. Maybe a motor in the TB has gone bad??

Thanks!

Sounds like a throttle position sensor to me. The engine is getting to much fuel and not enough air, you holding the throttle open slightly opens the throttle body butterfly valve, which lets in more air.
That part is mechanincal, a cable from the gas pedal to the throttle, but if the TPS thinks the throttle is open "X" amount it will fuel for "X" even if the throttle is at "Y".

OK. I took apart the TC body. The Throttle Control Motor does not seem to be working. After it was apart from the rest of the body, I plugged it into the car. It still made that buzzing noise and didnt move. Unless anyone thinks otherwise, I will be ordering a new control motor tonight.

Thanks!
