Hi guys,

First of all, thanks for all the responses to my questions. I put down a deposit on an 02 yesterday. It was in better shape than the others I looked at for the most part. The only things that I saw was some rust underneath on the drivers side. Something that looked like a skid plate but I don't think its that. Anyhow its crumbling away but the rest of the undercarriage had just some surface rust. And frankly, every car I've looked at here in the north east has some. And the other thing is, when tried 4L and locking the cdl, it seemed fine, but at first I couldn't get it to disengage. I went to get the dealer, and he backed up about 10 feet and everything seemed normal ( vsc light went off and the car felt normal ). I assume this is normal, cause even in my jeep, after disengaging 4L, sometimes it took a bit before everything was normal. Hopefully, neither will be cause for concern.

Otherwise, I'm excited to pick it up and look forward to hanging out here!

Thanks again for all the help.

The dis-engagement issue is normal and quite common in a lot of different manufacturers transfer case.
Even the owners manual mention that you may need to travel a few meters forward or back to disengage it.
Its never happened to my 90 or 100 but is common to both.
