For Sale Buying a 4runner...NEED HELP!

So maybe this isn't the right place... but I'm going through a divorce and have to refinance my car regardless and I can trade in and get what I want. A 4runner. I've found a 2005 4Runner Sport 4x4 4.0L V6 with 133k miles on it. I don't know what I should be looking for - any pointers or tips would be great. Is $13,400 a good price? Is there anything I should know or look for?

Price can go all over. it is maybe a touch high for the run of the mill 4th Gen, but if the truck is in really nice shape and has had all the maintenance kept up with, then it could be a decent price.

Check to see what the big ticket maintenance items have been done/not done and see if the owner has kept up with the basic stuff also, sucks to get the "wife's truck" that hasn't had an oil change for 20K

Also see what big ticket maintenance junk is upcoming. Nothing sucks like buying a "new" truck, and promptly having to throw a couple grand at it

Where was the truck from, north, south, desert, beach? Salt can be a killer. Obviously run the CARFAX on it, if it is local, see if you ca have a local mechanic or dealership give it a once over and see if they have the maintenance records that they can share.
