POSERS!
OK is there really a place called Butcher Jones? and where is it?

Yes and Saguaro Lake.

You know, I've lived in AZ since 81 and I have never been to any lake anywhere in the state. Can you believe that ish!

Technically, those pictures are not at Butcher Jones -- right? You can't drive on the beach at Butcher Jones. That is a controlled day use only area.

I thought the place you were at was called "the coves"

Am I right on this?

Jared

Looks like butcher jones to me but I could be wrong. It's been a LONG time since I've been out there.

looks like fun... You know you could have made that a wildcat run, it's not like were not a club or anything......

Now that I think about it-- I think you generally drive through Butcher Jones to get to the Coves--there is a gate at the back of the Butcher Jones beach. But the beaches at the back of the lake are "the Coves". To me, those 80s look like they are on the Coves beach looking across to Bagley flat.

Not that any of this really matters.

A club camping trip to the Coves would be a good time. Although we should wait till spring and bring boats-- it would be worth the trip just to see Clay up on a wakeboard.

We would have, but it was very last second. Phil and I were talking on the phone at noon, decided to go, tossed the junk in the trucks were pulling out of Baja gas station at about 1:00 PM! Sorry.:o

Sorry for the misleading terminology, the "beach" at Butcher Jones is fenced, no driving, there is a nice parking lot to park in if you want to pay $4. We went in at the Butcher Jones gate and out the back of the parking lot, the area where we are parked is the coves.

From the condition of the trails and the tons of junk this is normally a crowded area, we got lucky, not many others out there.
