Tried the search feature but couldn't find any threads on this topic. Yesterday I discovered that my passenger front seat on my '99 100-series has a busted actuator. Its the motor/drive/cable mechanism that makes the entire seat move fore and aft. So when I push the switch, the motor makes a horrible sound and I can see that the seat is not moving straight but rather binding because one side is not being actuated the same as the other. I can see some plastic threads/clips/mounts at either end of the motor/cable assembly that look busted. I think it was caused by a kid that was being transported to a Boy Scout event and thought he had lost an electronic device under the seat. When I was unloading the vehicle at the meeting point, I saw him poking around under the seat but didn't really investigate what was going on. When I got home and got a message from his dad that he was missing the device, I went out to look under the seat with flashlight and discovered the problem. Has anyone experienced this same failure? What are my options for fixing it?
