Hi guys just seeking some opinions here. Im putting a Fj40 body onto a Bundera RJ70 chassis. The Chassis came with a LRA ( long range automotive ( australian company) 50 Liter long range tank. It bolts in between the rear shock mount brace and gear box brace. Question i have is it worth keeping? or would i be better off selling it then buying an original 90 Liter Bundera tank? Ill already have to original FJ40 tank in the cabin. Is it worth keeping that space in the rear free for say a water tank or air tank?

Thanks in advance

If you put the body of the fj40 on the rj70 the frame and the original tank will be out of the body.
So will cut the end of the frame and you will never fixed again the original tank of the rj70.

The best thing is to keep the LRA tank and use it.

VinceFJ55, are you saying that the chassis of the RJ70 is longer than the FJ40 body therefore itll be sticking out so ill have to cut it and then the original RJ70 thank wont fit?

bundyred, Yes. Pic three with the stainless bolt denotes the mounting location

Yes the bundera frame is longer than the Fj frame and the original tank wont fit.

Use the tub of the earlier 40 series, the Melb company makes a long range tank for under the front seats, that way you can get a spare tyre under the rear. I used this in my last build and bought another for my RJ70 chassis build with a 40 series body.
