Bump noise in 04 100...after stop and sometimes take off

Yes I'm a newbie. Forgive me. I have an issue in 04 100. When stopping then easing off brakes there is a "bump" noise. I first thought u joints, tranny? I can't figure it out. It's like there is slack somewhere. Any ideas out there. Would love some input. Had it only a short time. 150k miles

Very common drive line thump. Search and you will lots of threads.

Greasing the drive shaft should make it disappear. I just did it last week with a grease gun and moly grease and it hasn't come back.
