Steering is fine.... only thing that broke was the winch line. Which happens from time to time.

The FJ is pretty tough. Next weak link is the rear axles but I hope to see some Super 300's for the rear also. The front already has 300M front axle shafts.

I am loving my crawler but think it would be cool to also have either a scaler or a fast desert truck.

A scaler is where it's at for pure fun and enjoyment. A comp crawler rig is fun, but you're always looking for hard/challenging terrain or rocks to run on. Normally the comp rig tends to see the same terrain over and over again.

A scale rig is a truly all terrain vehicle. Rocks, mud, sand, dirt, etc... It'll handle it all. Plus if it looks scale, you don't need 4 foot tall rocks to have a good time.
