im confused about the snorkle.

I installed the snorkel recently to help with clean air to the motor. It's dusty as hell offroad here in western Nevada.

One of the pictures above shows the motor the way it was about 6 months ago. (Woops I forgot the post snorkel under the hood shot) I'm adding it now. The other photo shows it the way it is after I plummed the snorkel and went through 8 air boxes. I finally found one that would work with the v-8 application. I hope this helps with any confusion you might have had?
