BAYOU STATE LAND CRUISER ASSOCIATION would look good written across the sides of that rig too.

Thats a sweet looking rig, nice color too :D My only complaint is I don't like when they butcher up good tubs like that. If it was an Aluminum tub I'd have no problem with it. I'd just rather see the original tubs left for the folks doing the restorations and keeping the factory look. You can build a pretty stout rig without hacking it up. This one was done tastefully but I've seen some that weren't. Was sad to see what Josh did to his tub (lime green 40) but thats just me. Different strokes for different folks.

Larry and I were talking about this the other day...I decided to post this up in case anyone else is interested:

Goto Clearance items on SOR site and select FJ40

Scroll down a ways, and you'll see it-a replacement CONFERR lock and keys (very generic item, likely available at Guidry hardware, etc...dunno).

You can use this type of lock for your glovebox, etc.

few weekend additions...

Ok, the winch and bumper are on:

...and the 8" Tuffy was almost a bolt on affair (the 40 is made for the 6" but I increased my seat spacing and pushed them back w/ the addition of the AM seats when I put them in). Sooo.... when I put it in although it cleared the stick shift.. it was too close.

..so I drilled on it, moved it back about 1.5 - 2" and what a PITA!!!!!!!! Anyway...it's in:
