I use carboard all the time, it works great and you can throw it away or save it to go back later to reproduce. I'm to cheap to even think about wasting some wood unless I had some junk stuff laying around.

Well, I finally got the BFG 33" Mud Terrains on this afternoon...all I can say is that they are awesome. Compared to the swampers, these are smooth as glass on the road. Night and day. Very pleased with them. I plan to rebuild my entire rear end this week as well as install the Aussie Locker. Hope to wheel it this weekend.
