I don't know if any of you have any feeling on this but if you do here is a link. http://savethehorsefarm.com/ My office window looks out on this place the last 6 years. I'd love to see it made a park as it gives me peace to look out in the middle of all this crap to see such a nice place. Next time I drive the cruiser this way I'm going to find a way in the fence to take some pictures of the cruiser in front of the barn as they have started tearing some of it up.

I see Thad signed the petition as well.

I attempted to take the op off my vehicle last night and got as far as removing the front doors. When I moved to the Rear Ambulance Doors, I couldn't budge any of the screws on the hinges. Any ideas as to how I might get them loose without tearing something up. I actually wouldn't mind messing up the screws themselves (once they're off), because if the top ever goes back on, I'll go with the stainless screws. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Where do I get PB Blaster and will it bother my paint? Impact driver? You talking about one connected to a compressor? I have that but don't know if I have a phillips attachement. Thanks for the advice. Keep it coming.

PB won't hurt the paint, problem is you can't get the PB into the area of the screw. I have a good snap-on impact driver set that is perfect for that stuff. It doesn't use a compressor. You usually tear up the screw head with a regular screw driver but the impact driver you use a hammer to shock and turn the screw until it looses up. Unfortunatley I need to find a snap-on truck as I broke three of the bits trying to get the rusted screws out of the winshield on the beast. I have one bit left. Let me know if you need help I'll be happy to give you a hand.

OK, I now understand what Scott meant by impact driver. I do not have one but will try to find one. If not, I may ask for your help Larry. I think the impact driver might be the ticket. It doesn't look like the problem is rust so I don't know how effective the PB Blaster would be. I think the screws are tight from the paint. It lloks as thought the top has never been removed. I'd really like to get the top off tonight or tomorrow early. The weekend is supposed to be good weather for going topless.

If Will hasn't been using mine to drill into a tree or something, I'll try to remember to grab mine for you. I just need to put my hands on it. I also have some bits that will certainly tear up the screws but are made to "bite" into it and loosen them.

Thanks for the good advice fellas. I just went down to the hardware store and bought the "el cheapo" brand impact driver. I also picked up a can of PB Blaster while I was there. I don't have too many screws to loosen so hopefully I don't break this plastic set before I finish the job. I'll keep you all posted.
