Hi,

I just broke an rear axle on my BJ70 (CDN spec, rear semi-floater with C-Clip and ARB air locker). I succeed to remove the c-clip of the unbroken axle but can't push the broken axle stub enough into the diff to remove the c-clip. (The axle shaft has broke at the end of the inner spline so it's stuck into the diff)

I've been hammering it with a 10 pounds hammer using a 1" pipe to reach the axle stub in the diff.

I've found in the 40-series forum that the only way to remove an axle broken like that is to tear apart the air locker and take the broken axle stub out of the side gear with a press. I hope someone here has a trick to share with me so avoid tearing apart the air locker.

Thanks.

I forgot to mention that I need to gain less than 1/16" to remove the !"/$%?& c-clip.

I think a full-floater conversion will be on the way :wrench:
