After looking high and low at 7 hardware stores, and about 10 auto parts places I could not find any brass drifts, and most of the guys at these stores did not know what I was talking about, I finally settled on buying one from Fastenal, at $16.61 for the 1/2" and $15.90 for the 3/8". plus I had to drive 30 miles to get them,,, or have them shipped for 10$!!! I am too cheap for that! But, I felt I HAD TO HAVE the tool to do my knuckle job right.

on ebay, similar items are about $15-$18

knurling is not worth the difference in cost...

So I bought some round stock, cut it, and am offering them for sale, they have semi flat ends (flat as my bandsaw makes them, just not PERFECT) and the outside is not knurled like the ones in the Fastenal book but they are about half price of Fastenal!! and still cheaper than ebay!

For sale:

3/8" D solid round brass stock 6" long shipped $10.00
