thats a heck of a deal. Curious, what good beer/mead to you fancy?

I love still and strong mead :) Some of my favorite beers are commercial: Shiner Bock and Old Style (don't laugh). I'm a big lager fan. Funny though ever since moving to AZ from CO (long time ago I guess) my taste for real beer is diminished whereas in colder climates I liked by beer like a meal.

Pskhaat that reminds me of my favorite beer back home in the midwest Stag. My family jokes that its a meal in a can Steak Taters And Gravy :D I have been looking for something similar as it isnt licensed here and I actually found one that i like a little more. Blue Moon. I really like it. I've yet to try it with a little slice of orange though I believe it would really set it off. Hmmm..... Wonder about some of those other Citrus things like tangelo's and stuff like that. What about mango is it a type of citrus I've never even seen one but I'll bet it would be pretty tasty with a Blue Moon. Though is that leaning towards being a little too fem? Sorry for the Hijack ;)

Being a native Arizonan, Ive been raised on "qwaffable" beers that dont skunk up when they might get cool vs cold when tubing,on the lake, etc. Ive never really gotten into the "cut-it-with-a-knife" dark beers because of the climate here.

I agree, Blue moon is my beer of choice for the last year as well. You cant beat a cold BMoon draft in a chilled mug and an orange slice.

Payette is coming up...

Since mead was mentioned - score in Chandler

Found a screaming deal on honey - honeyville grain on Chandler (right next to the Harley shop) sells a 5 gallon bucket of honey for about 95.00. One of my future trips to the Valley of the Sun I will be picking up that bad boy for future mead brewing. Just wanted to pass along to other enthusiasts.

Just down the street from the In and Out Burger.....

Awesome! Thanks for the heads up! I've been wanting to brew a mead for a while now and I have a friend at work who brews mead more reguarly than me, so I'll pass on the info.

...Blue moon is my beer of choice...

Good beer but the headaches are obnoxious. I went to Uni right next to the Coors brewery and we used to visit the brewery (called Coors Lab) on a dangerously regular basis. I got my share of Coors products.

Speaking of Coors, y'all should try Coors Gold if you can ever find it. A decent light but strong lager, and on the cheap.
