The :princess: Drove the 62 to work this morning. When she picked me up the brake peddle would go to the floor sometimes, then other times it would stop higher. When I camr to a light and stoped and kept preasure on the brake it would slowly go to the floor. I have not had time to try bleeding them, and I am suspicious of it being the mastre cylender. anny Ideas? BTW this just started without warning or any work done. The brake fluid level is full.

Rebuilding Brake master cylinder is easy job.
Get correct rebuild kit and only remove 2ea of flare tube and remove four bolt and remove master cylinder from brake booster.
I wanna recommand check brake booster also when rebuilding masterc cylinder.
Leaking master cylinder loss fluid into booster generally.
After finish rebuilt master cylinder, bleed carefully.

You could search for it on this forum, but it's simple:

Buy a good brake hone in the proper size (7/8" IIRC) - I recommend Snap-On

Buy or borrow a small 110V variable-speed drill (lighter than a cordless)

Soak all the line fittings & nuts with Rust Blaster

Try to remove the fittings with a regular end wrench: if they won't budge get a flare wrench (Sears - 14mm I'm guessing)

Lube the M/C bore with brake fluid (buy a couple quarts - you'll need it) for honing. Follow the directions with the hone

Assemble & bleed per FSM - use lots of fluid

Modified Junkyard bleeding method - get 6-8' of clear plastic tube that just fits over the bleeder valves & 4 big glass jars with metal lids. Punch holes in the lids so the tube just fits in. Put one on each adjuster valve & open all the valves. Pour lots of fluid in the M/C. At the junkyard they just let it run onto the ground (pre EPA).
