I sometimes get a noise/feeling when I hit the brakes. It sounds/feels very similar to the famous driveline thunk (but it's not the thunk). If happens, if at all, only when the car and brakes are warm and it occurs when the rate of deceleration hits a certain threshold (if I barely brush the brakes it won't happen, but any pressure greater than that and it will). It comes from the front.
Is there any shim or damper or something that should be on my brakes that may have been omitted or improperly installed last time I got my brakes done. Are there any brake components or sensors on the chassis that I should make sure are properly tightened? Any other ideas as to what may be causing this and/or how to fix it?
Thanks in advance!
