I am getting a situation where braking is coming in during a slow speed (parking lot speed) tight turn. It will stop the rig in a matter of 5 yards.

No lights on the dashboard to indicate a problem or activation (ABS / VSC / anything)

No check engine

No clunking

No noise

Yesterday I was in the woods and slowly went through a very shallow puddle (@3 or 4 inches) and there were some small vines and branches - at one point I got a grinding noise from the left rear like something got caught in the rotor. I stopped / got under with a flashlight - saw nothing looked at the front side of it - saw nothing. Drove on slowly and the grinding noise ceased within a few hundred yards and everything was back to normal.

Drove the rig home, drove it again later that night, again this morning, and now later in the afternoon - this starts to happen.

I am not exactly sure where the braking is occurring.

I have disconnected the battery - didn't help.

I have disconnected the ABS speed sensor connector under the hood - did not help.

Thoughts on what is going on?

What to try next?

TIA

ETA - 2000 LX, stock, only change is that I added 255x85x16s a couple of weeks ago.

Diff locked?

CDL was ON - LOL - I had no idea (doesn't have a light or something to tell you it is on?)

Newbism - when you (think) you know just enough to be dangerous.

Thank you both

There should be a light that comes on, but it may not. I think my sensor or dash light is broken, I can hear the relays clicking when I turn the CDL on, but no dash light.
