Never had a problem witht the brakes but went out and after a couple of hundred yards the brake light flashed a couple of times but the brakes felt fine. I took it for a test drive and it only happened once again after a few miles.

It doesnt seem to be the handbrake switch so what else could it be and will plugging into techstream possibly have any codes.

Check your fluid level. The brake light comes on for the parking brake and fluid level. Remember, proper fluid level is checked after pumping the brakes until the pedal goes to the floor, about 30-40 times.

Thanks for that, do I pump the pedal with the engine running or stopped snd ignition off.

Ignition off. You’re pumping the fluid out of the accumulator.

Read the instructions on the reservoir when in doubt

I had the same deal with my brake light, seemed to happen more in the cold and I just thought e-brake was sticky. Finally checked the fluid and it was low. Hopefully that is all you are up against too.

Check to see if there are any codes with techstream or compatible ABS code reader.
