my FJC auto has a really loud brake squeal in reverse, but only after it been sitting overnight, and only as i back down the driveway.
by the time get to the bottom, and shift to forward, the squeal is gone.
could it be because its been so wet here in the past twoo weeks, since i got the truck?
has anyone else had this happen?

good chance the squeal is from the pads scraping the fine film of 'damp rust' that grows overnight.

I've had other vehicles do same in extended damp weather....

My wife's FJ has the same sound.

Mine does it too. I've heard from a lot of FJC owners. It seems quite normal.

If you've taken yours on a dirtroad/offroad that's what'll happen... I had that on mine for a while untill hurricane Ernesto came by NC and now it's fine... get a pressure washers and get on those calipers like there's no tomorrow.

x2. I'm with K_os on this.

I've got the squeal in reverse, but without any off road excursions.
