Well, I just got a tent trailer a few weeks ago and am doing some baseline on the thing and now it's brakes time.
There is a plate on the axle saying it is a 3000lb axle, I'm not sure if it is a Dexter but the brakes are. Now I'm searching up at E trailer and there's no mention of 3klbs axle, next number is 3500k. I'm assuming there would be no issues mounting the higher capacity brakes to a lesser capacity axle. Am I correct here? I mean, do they have to have matching numbers or am I just fine going this way?
BTW, I'm looking to replace the whole thing - hub drum assemblies and the electric brake assemblies.
Thanks for any input.
