OK, what's with this?
My Prodigy says that the trailer is not connected as in "n.c" but as far as I can tell, all the connections are there... (still need to check everything in details for continuity, but looks good)
Is this thing likely busted or is there something off in the electric brake system like a bad ground or something?
ideas?

YOu have it hooked up to the correct brake leads at the wiring harness?

Are all the connections at the trailer good? I had a loose wire on the trailer one time and had the same indication on the Prodigy.

You having fun wiring all this yet Eric?

My trailer has a tight cord, so when I make too sharp of a turn, or go up or down something bigger than a few inches, it becomes disconnected, (n.c) but still looks plugged in. I have to go out and make sure I have a good fit again. Something to check into.

oh, man, I don't want to go under the trailer and check it all out....

:frown:

aaaaarghhhh!
after much measuring this and that and testing for continuity, it seems like I may have found the problem, some bizarre random lack on contact in one of the 7 pin connectors that seems to happen when the connector is off to one side by as little as 1/64" or so...
WTH ???
grrr.....

I would have said check your ground(s), also solder wires together (also use the heat-shrink stuff to protect the splice) as apposed to using connectors of some sort, makes for a much more reliable connection.
