There's a group of us from Alamo City Land Cruisers heading up to Boulder Creek for the day on Friday, July 4th.

Please join us if it will fit into your holiday plans!

Most have said we'd do a day trip but Jenn said she might be interested in camping or finding a local hotel. I'm personally going to day trip it and head back to S.A. after dark.

I could possibly make it just to get away, but I need to hear some plans from my family to se if I can shake loose, butg I would like to go.

Hey Matt,

It's been awhile since I have been on MUD, but we did get the pictures developed, I will bring them to the next meeting- W.L.

I'm in. Anyone else traveling from Austin that wants to road trip? Loud and rattling cat or not, I am going.

Yeah I'll be heading down there friday now, change of plans plus free pass make for a good reason to go wheeling.

Just FYI,

I know it's a bit of a drive for you but there's a place down here in San Antonio that can install a new cat in your truck for right around $150. That's parts and labor. They do all the Land Rovers for Land Rover of San Antonio and have done several for me over the years. Not to mention repairs and enhancements on my cruiser.

The place is a welding/exhaust shop just southwest of downtown. It's been around since the late 1800's and was originally a blacksmith shop near the old Union Stockyards. The same family has owned the company since the beginning and they do fantastic work. So, if you want to get that cat fixed and can't find a place in Austin that's reasonably priced, consider Cordona Welding on Brazos Street in San Antonio.

Boulder Creek

The wife and I are planning on going and thinking of camping at least one night, possibly two depending how many are going and if they are thinking of camping. Our "thought" was to go Thursday night and be ready to jump on the trails Friday morning. But if evryone one was planning to show up Friday (it's usually around noon or better when everyone gets there), we may just cruise up Friday morning, set camp, wheel and go home Saturday evening late. Our plans at this time, but not set in stone, kinda depends on everyone else's plans. I'd just like to wheel with the whole bunch instead of leaving early like I did last time:bang:

I'm pretty sure most are coming up for the day on Friday and should be there by 9:30 am. Last time we wheeled until nine or ten in the evening and then went home. I might bring my 8 inch telescope for an hour or so of stargazing if I can find a safe place to store it during the wheeling time.

I'm looking forward to Boulder Creek installing RV sites so I can pull my Casita up with me and camp with my air conditioner. I'll definitely stay overnight then. I'm just not much of a summer camper in this part of Texas.

I'm planning on being there in the AM as well, as for camping, if I could camp on the day pass I have then head out in the morning that would suit me fine.

im in definately . i just hope i can get my rock sliders built before then . but that does not change me going or not . im leaving austin friday am . maybe those of us leaving from austin can meet up at heb on 183/1431 at 8 or 9 it usually takes 30-45 min from there

We've kinda decided to just go up Friday a.m. as well and just stay the day. Matt, let me know what time your pulling out Friday morning and maybe we can meet at the Shell station in Bee Cave if you want.

4th of July - Boulder Creek/Kelly's B-day!

Just thought I'd post this for you guys.....

All,

The Boulder Creek run is scheduled for this Friday, July 4th. I suggest that the caravan leaves San Antonio at 8:00 a.m. which should leave enough time to meet in parking lot B by 10:00 a.m.

As most of you know, we will also be celebrating Kelly's 21st b-day ;). I have some things planned while we are frolicking on the trails. Please PM me for the details.

Jen =)

Hey Sean,

If you still have those 40 doors, wonder if I could talk you into bringing them and I think we can work out a siuitable negotiation for me take them off your hands. If not I can wait until we meet up at a different time.

Well as a lot of you know, my dad's only owner 1987 4runner was totaled while he was heading to boulder creek last time around. Well he just replaced it with a 1986 toyota pick up with the 22re turbo. I'm trying to convince him to bring it out friday. Its pretty cool and I'd like you guys to check it out. Hopefully nothing happens to it :p

W.L.- That sounds like a plan for me, I should have everything planned out by thursday so I'll give you a call thursday night and let you know.
