Need to borrow a trailer if anybody has one. I'd like to pick this thing up on Tuesday or Wednesday but I need to find a trailer to haul it on. Let me know!

DAMNIT!!! My trailer situation fell through. Still need a ride for my 60! Going to pay for it tonight anyway. Oh well.

What about a flat tow? Where is it?

It's sittin here at my shop and will be in my driveway when I get home!

Pics to come!

At the PO's house. I'll get more when I get her home.

Busted assed PVC all the way baby! I haven't decided yet if I'm gonna buck up and pay the big dough for an ARB unit or just build a new cheezball one. I might have a buddy of mine who does cold air intakes make me an aluminum one and have it anodized and a cheap steel one and get it powdercoated. It's got more important things that need attention first.

Hey BMAN after reading your last post in the 60/62 section I think I looked at that one before I bought mine a few years ago. As I was new to LC I didn't want something that high of milage, and the owner had it registered in Payson so he wouldn't have to pass emissions here. Both of those combined made me look for another. If it is the same one I have thought about that one a few times wondering/regreating about it. Are the rear panels trimed? Great looking LC.

hey ypu bought dons rig ,,, kewl. i dont know much about that rig except to tell you he is honest about what i'm sure he told you. he bought it pretty much excactly how you see it a few years ago. i like the way the rear end is bent under and the stock rear bumper cut and capped. he also recently sold his 76 FJ55, i wish i could have bought it,, super clean,, but it was more than i wanted to spend.
congrats on the rig, think it'll be a good one.

Yeah, Don is a kewl dude for sure. He thought the truck needed a top end and after this weekend I will have to agree. Unfortunately with 260k it's probably ready for a complete teardown. I'm in the market for a cheap 2f!

i have one for you,,, it will need a rebuild, supposedly has a fresh head which caused the lower end to give up, but i dont know, anyway it's available to you to rebuild in your spare time while still being able to road the new 60.

Problem is that I can't road the new 60. And I really don't have the time needed to do a proper rebuild right now. SO 2 choices lay in front of me...
1: Buy a running 2f from Simon at Faultline fab for $600 and go pick it up over the long weekend coming up. Then come home and commence to startin an engine swap.
2: Try to scout a SBC for sale locally for around the same dollars and source all the shizzle for a proper conversion. Then commence to startin a conversion over the long weekend.

Hey BMAN check this out:

From HI^C

Have complete motor mounts w frame mounts, plate and bell, tranfer case mount w frame mounts, available as a package prefered.

I also have flywheel, clutch pressureplate, trans available out of the same, all came out of a 79 fj40.

dont really need it anymore.

send me a email or pm, dont check the wanted to often.

well BMAN, i am gearing up for an engine/drivetrain swap myself. let me know if you want a running 2F locally as i may be tempted to sell mine.

Phil,
Where did you find that? You got a link?

Pyro,
I might get with you on that. Not sure yet though. I'll let you know.

ya know. im kinda thinkin if your gonna rebuild the 2F, why not do an engine swap?? you know yer gonna want a better hiway engine anyway.

Ahh! Just drop in a 3F-E. It literally bolts right up. Fuel Injection, more HP, no fabbing. I've seen several people also just use a 3F block and head and use the 2F's carb on the 2F exhaust/intake manifold (they mate right up). You get slightly more HP at about the same torque. If you're going to buy a 2F anyway...

Please don't SBC it :)
