Hey all, I'm Keith. I usually hang out in the 40/ hardcore sections... Got something I wanna run by you all.
I have an 06 Tacoma sr5 that is my DD. I parked it last night when I got home from work everything was fine.
Got up this AM to go to work, the the low beam headlights are OUT! The front markers are out too. High beams work, and the indicator light on the dash indicates they ( the low beams) are ON. I do have running lights in the tail.
Would it be possible that BOTH lights go out at the same time?? Could it be a fuse? If it were the fuse, Would that be typical?

Are these things prone to electrical problems? My air bag light has gone on in the last week too???

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Keith

that sounds like a pretty odd failure.
I have had both low beams burn out on my 96 runner in one day but you say front only marker lights and dash air bag lights out:hmm:

I dont run that new of iron...sounds fishy to me
I'd be checking some bulbs or grounding perhaps.

Duane,
Thanks for the response and you're right. Very odd indeed.
I checked all the fuses for the headlights, they were all fine. I then pulled both lamps and tested them. One the filament was clearly broken. It didn't burn out, but had just broke. The other side, there was no obvious break in the filament, but I tested it on my battery, and the low wouldn't come on. So I threw some new lamps in, and they work now. Very weird.
It's going in to Toyota tomorrow as it's still under warranty. They do need to check out why the air bag light is on mysteriously.

well glad to hear you got the low beams working at least you can drive it
