They have several 80's listed - see below. Prices seem high, but wondering if anyone's worked with them. Wondering if I can work them down a bunch. I found them thru Craigslist postings for 80's.

LOL on the lockers comments.

Any feedback is welcome....

I looked thru those online recently. They also have a lot of diesel mercedes too. Way overpriced. My cousin goes to the auto auction every week. If you're serious I can have him look for one.

Thanks for the offer. I need to decide on my next step - I'm considering selling the 62 once I get a couple of things resolved (it's at Kabilian's - he's great - I know you swear by him). I can't move on getting an 80 until I'm at least actively marketing the 62...

More and more I'm thinking an 80 is in my future - I think it will serve my needs better than the 62. My vision is to have an expedition style set up (I'm not talking a month in the desert, but things like week long trips throughtout NE (wheeling, camping, backcountry skiing, sometimes with the family) and I think the 80 is a better platform for that.

That is really where the 80 shine. I'll have mine with me at the spring meeting and you are welcome to sit behind the wheel on the trail if you like.

Thanks for the offer - if I can make it to the Spring Meeting, I'll take you up on that!

I know the traditionalists might take issue, but I've concluded the 80 series is the best combo of offroad prowess and interior size (space) and comfort.
