Hey all,

New to these forums, I have a 2000 land cruiser that I want to get setup for some off-roading. Obviously my clearance on an un-modified cruiser needs some attention. I'm thinking suspension lift but don't want to go so high that I lose too much of the rides comfort. What would you guys recommend? How high? Brand?

I'm in the Southern California area if you also have shop recommendations and are from the area.

I think it would be best to first determine how much of a lift you will need--IF AT ALL. Join up with some of the local guys, go on a few runs and see what the limitations are. If you are going for a rock crawler, the link sdnative posted might be a good read. If more of an overlander, stock or close to (1.5" lift) may do it for you. All depends on what the uses are going to be and where you will be taking it.
