lurker here but hoping to find my LC soon. i think. Looking at one out of state but may have to fly&buy. Anxious about it, partially because i'm not sure that the model is 100% what i'm after. Anyone local willing to take me for a test drive this weekend? Not asking to go wheeling, but i'd love to get behind the wheel a little.

Thanks for any comments.

surely someone is around that area for You.....

I just got my used 2006 100 and I couldn't be happier.

In two weeks, I have already racked up 2400 miles!!!!!

My rig has 102,xxx miles on it now and it doesn't have a single squeak or rattle in it. Very smooth and quiet, and that is with an OME lift already installed and Nitto Terra Grappler A/T tires.

I have no complaints whatsoever besides the mediocre gas mileage. It is not any worse than most trucks or SUV's, and it is so much more capable and confident on the road.

I expected the mileage, and even though I drive a bunch, I need a capable off-road vehicle that can haul several people and luggage for weeks.

I bought mine in Boise in May. There's a great shop just outside of town that specializes in LS's.

Ditto bought my '00 Hundy with 110k and loving her! Solid as a rock and couldn't ask for anything more!

I came from suby's so the extra room and ground clearance is amazing!

Mine is an '01 and a test drive would work, save mine is a 4-speed, an -03 is a 5-speed, and the feel is a lot different.

Out of state should not be an issue...I did a quick 1-way to bend and bought mine as 1-owner, older MD, never off paved roads, blah blah. Took me a while to find one I thought would be perfect for me and budget. Patience...;)

LTS Motors is fantastic! Corey and Brian are very knowledgeable and friendly to work with. Top notch!

yup. that's the one. I was steered there for my pre-purchase inspection by a local member.

thanks very much for your replies and offer. i think i'm good. i needed to move on the out of town car so fingers crossed.

also good to know there's a recommended independent shop here in town.

if all goes as planned i'll be in a land cruiser this weekend.
