Hey everyone,

I'm new to the area and I'm in need of a great body shop to do heavy rust work and paint job. My 60 has the normal rust behide the wheel wells and some rust forming at the rain gutters. Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Jimmy

Most mechanics I ask say Kenny's Automotive in Raleigh off Hillsborough past the fairgrounds. Good place to start. Just a thought...good luck. Let us know what you ultimately decide and how pleased you are with it once its done

Auto Arts in Raleigh....Stumbaugh and I both used him (me several times) and he is awesome and a great guy to work with.

From all the body shops that I have dealt with in the area I found apex auto body specialist to be the best by far. They are not the cheapest by any means, but you get what you pay for. Darin, the owner, is I first class guy. Their quality of work is second to none. Just google them, you will see.

Auto Arts was amazing. The guy is both an artist and a master craftsman. Take a look around, it's not just your typical collision shop, they do hard core restoration work and custom work. There were some really nice cars in there. Most of all, the owner and his wife were super cool. I have done body work for years and I could not tell where he did the repairs or see any difference in the paint. The guy is amazing.

image.webp This was at the shop when I was there the other day. It's the mustang from one of the Fast and Furious movies.

Thanks guys, I have a bunch to look at now. I'm sure restoring is going to be expensive but I just want to makes sure it's done right. Thanks again.
