Hello All -
New to the Auburn Area and trying to find a local bodyshop to help finish up my project. I need to have a hood, fenders, windshield frame, and front grill blasted (several layers of old paint) and painted. The panels are straight (other than one simple to remove hood dent), and I'm just looking for a prime, and then single stage epoxy paint. This is far from a show truck, so I don't want clear/lots of buffing, etc. I painted the tub myself and it looks OK, but I don't have the work space to paint anymore, and frankly don't enjoy it anyway. Any recommendations?

Thanks
Tim

Try Matthew Terry at Franklin Tire and Auto. He runs the body shop there.

I posted in your other thread, look up Matthew in Franklin.
I sure miss Auburn, nearly everyday.

Welcome to Alabama! We offroad like every weekend here!

Last year I had the 80 painted and I first spoke with Matthew at Franklin's. Because it was not an insurance job he was not interested in the job, and that was fine. He recommended a small shop behind Durango Mexican off Opelika Highway. That guy gave at best a cursory inspection of the Cruiser and no good estimate of what it would take or cost. Don't remember the name of this place and did not use it.

I went with Hornsby & Son in Tallassee and the job was well done. Number is 334 283-3463 and Scott is the owner.

Thanks for the recommendations guys! I have had tire work done at Franklin, and thought about them first. I actually live and work on the west side of Auburn, so I may start in Tallasee and go from there. Looking forward to getting the 40 done!

How long you been in Auburn? And where?! I've lived on Wire for the last umpteen years but left wire not quite a year ago. And Auburn entirely about 8 months ago.
I'm longing to come back, but that's a different thread!

We live up off of North Donahue out of town. Been in Auburn since December and finally getting settled enough to get back to work on the FJ project.

Loving it so far
