WALLINGFORD - Robert Ames Malaguti, Jr., 46, of Wallingford, died suddenly, Monday, July 20, 2009, while biking, one of his favorite passions.
Born in Meriden, May 15, 1963, Bobby was a brilliant tattoo artist and many wear the love of his art on their skin. The people that knew his tender heart carry his love within them, an indelible mark deeper than ink. He also adored German shepherds and rescued them one by one. He knew their fierce exterior, yet their loving hearts were much like his own. He drove around town often in his Toyota Land Cruiser with them by his side, all feeling the wind on their faces.
He leaves behind his loving mate, Samantha Shaw; his son, Bob; his daughter, Madyson; his mother, Kim Tefft Poggio; his siblings, Vincent Poggio and Marci Rizzo; his nephew, "Little Vin"; his father, Bob Sr.; and many relatives and close friends.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St., Ext., Wallingford, Saturday, from 2 until 6 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 3 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be made to the Wallingford Animal Shelter, 5 Pent Road, Wallingford, 06492. www.wallingfordfh.com.
