We just got the horrible news that Bob Garrett had a heart attack and passed away while working out at the gym. He was just at the meeting last night and was smiling and happy as always. So much more we could of shared with him if we only knew.

He was a great guy and he did so much for the Cruiser community over the years. It was hell trying to keep up with him on the trail. It will not be the same out there without him. My prayers are with his wife and family.

As we get word we will post up more on when the service will be. The club will be doing something in his honor.

Great pic. It was good to see and talk to him in Arkansas at the Southern Cruiser Crawl last weekend. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family.

David and Lindy.

Shocked by this - Bob is a great soul and I will miss him.

All,

Bob's services will be at 2:00 on October 25

North Dallas Funeral Home
2710 Valley View Lane
Farmers Branch, TX 75234

I have been in communication with Bob's son. Here is something he suggested.

"My mom said that moments from our personal life would be too hard for her to watch a video/slide show of. But the Club was so important to him and we would love to have a slide show of trail run photos or a highlight video from some of the trips."

I will be working on this so please, anyone with photos, videos or stories please contact me.

Condolences to his family. I met Bob when I lived in Missouri and went to a TAC meeting in January 2006. I am not sure when he moved down to TX, but I think it was close to when I did too. I didn't know him well, but he has been on my mind since I found out this morning. I will say a prayer for his family.

R.I.P.

All,

It would mean a lot to the family if there is a good turnout, that's part of the reason they set it out two weeks.

No one likes funerals less than me, lost my dad when I was 12. It's on a Saturday, please try to make time.

Thanks

Perry

Hope to see y'all there tomorrow. Hopefully there are lot of Cruisers in the parking lot.

Yep!

This was to be played at the service today. His wife decided it would be too hard for her to see.

Classy Jeff. Nice job whomever put this together, well done. Thanks for sharing.

Wow.....Jeff I watched it on my phone at the banquet.....music off.....just watched again....tears running .....so blessed for me and my 40 to be in so
......really lost it at 3.38..... the magic night we all spent inside "Old Camp"........

Butch

Thanks. I held it together as I puled photos and selected the song. I lost it when I assembled everything and watched it the first time.

And yes, that night in old camp will live with me the rest of my life.

Thanks Jeff! Your work really touches the heart and I know Jessica and Billy will use this to remember Bob doing what he loved.
Bob left a really big hole.
Crying again...
Nick
