BMW & Lexus banner ads "freezing" forum

Lately I've noticed that whenever there is a BMW or Lexus banner ad, the forum becomes unresponsive on my phone. Not sure if these ads are tacked on from the forum end or by my network... but noticed this in Calgary as well as home in Manitoba. Any insight?

FWIW, this is occurring on a Blackberry 10 device.

I'll wager (since I don't own a BB), it's a flash issue...lots of ad companies use flash for banners...not sure if BB supports it or not...

which banner position is causing the issue?

The one below the tabs, above the title of currently viewed thread.

Flash issue seems likely, I used to get occasional notices about extensive use of flash with some ads.... I'll play with settings and see if that helps.
