Blue VTV Question

I am having to replace a blue VTV that sits on the front of the engine near the power steering pump. The problem is the part broke off and i removed before the replacement part arrived. I now have the replacement part but can not remember if the blue piece of the valve faces the drivers side or the passenger side. If anyone could help I would appreciate it.

When facing the engine, the blue line is towards the left (carburetor side) or towards the front, depending how the vacuum tubing bends.
