Got the interior built back in. It’s amazing how rust free this cockpit is.

Realized that there is only one port in this head so I had to go get this old coolant tube that had a temp sensor in the top. I got the valve soaked last night and it works now.

Can you give an idea of how much $$$ it takes, minus your effort of removing and putting everything back together, to get your bench/jump seats looking so svelt? I know you have someone local to you that does your upholstery so all things may not be the same, but a ballpark would be helpful... about to do the same thing is why I'm asking... Cheers and it looks fantastic

My guy charged me $600 in labor and they provided the foam. Covers were cruiser corps.

I did not have to paint the frames because they were in amazingly great shape

That’s a sweet deal. Foam from cruise corp for the jump seats alone will run you $180 plus shipping.

I was about to clean up and install the used acorns that came with the truck when I realized the ones on my trailer are better so I went out to swap them.
IMG_4724.jpeg

This was quite a surprise. It was chock full and somehow I escaped

Another data point: my 66 is turn signals only on fenders.
According to coolerman’s diagram, 68-70 (and up) have multi function fender lights. Older diagrams are several different links that I’m not going through lol.

OK. That was a TOTAL pain in the ass. The gasket is in 3 parts and there are some dopey round things that go in the intake ports.

I finally had to use some extreme heat RTV to hold the gaskets in place.

Terrible design. That’s why it went the way of the DoDo

Need my @FJ40Jim SD40….

The rear outside latch was busted. The attempted repair.

It’s a tight fit getting the pins and M8 nuts off the pins only to find the new handle holes are too small. Take it back out and drill em…

Works like a charm and even has the interior T handle

I found this like new SOR exhaust on Marketplace and drove an hour to pick it up this morning. Bolted right in. HUGE timesaver /labor saver. Probably not worth what SOR charges ($800 plus whatever monster shipping) but I got it for $400

Clears the PTO perfectly.

Amazing Toyota still makes this filter kit
IMG_4679.jpeg

Got it all tucked inside the beautifully coated housing and got the housing bolted back on and hooked to the regulator and block
IMG_4751.jpeg

I also picked up this really sweet OEM style fuel like from Redline. It’s all hooked up from the tank to the pump but I can’t find my bracket to hang it correctly. I took it off for powder and it’s MIA. If anyone watching this has a spare please let me know

Just bled out the clutch. Taking a couple days off tomorrow and Saturday that have nothing to do with Cruisers. That’s the first since I started in on this project less than a month ago. Crazy this month has flown by and this project is coming together way way faster than I anticipated

@Ratboy at Classic Cruisers dug up the proper actuator and cable for this truck to make the vacuum shift Tcase work. I got it reinstalled before I quit for the day.

I need an FD knob @thecrazygreek with the brass inner for a 1967. PM coming.

Also, before you ask about reusing the 56 year old hoses, these are some crazy textured lined hoses that seem to last forever unlike fluid hoses. They look good and they are staying.
