Ive heard the blue dobermans have alot of problems genetically
We have a blue great dane
Not really. It's just a genetic trait.
boy, he sure did get a high and tight on his ears. looks sorta pitbullish.

That is just what i was told by our vet.
COLOR DILUTION ALOPECIA (CDA) - is a hereditary disease most often seen in blue- or fawn-coated Dobermans. These Dobes are born with a healthy hair coat but, usually beginning in adolescence to early adulthood, the coat may become thin, brittle, patchy and dry, resulting in permanent partial coat loss. CDA is not so much a health issue as it is an issue of esthetics.
Not sure if its just the dobermans or all blues as we were told about it when we got out dane, the vet had never seen a blue dane before us so for all i know is a possible problem with danes too

Yeah. I was kind of pissed to begin with, but I can't really complain now because his personality makes up for it. Plus, all of the canadians are scared s***less of him.
blue and fawn are faults outside akc, and white is akin to cruelty to animals. people are fxxxin weird when it comes to getting the "unusual".

The blue is pure blue. No tan of any kind. Her fawn is pure fawn too. He looks like a Weimer...
I would not buy a white for $1. That is just bull****.
did the dude fxxx up, or was it due to hiding a broken ear or something? he dont look bad, well, he looks baaaad. like hes ready to throw down at all times.
i just like a midnight black, although i always feel bad for a black dog at high noon.
I wanted a mid length crop. He basically lied to me. But he does look scary now, which is not always a bad thing.
I don't really thing a black short haired dog is hotter than say a german shepherd though...

The doberman I have now seems a little 'tarded. He's a year old now, and when he hears a dog barking on the TV he goes ape****. He's convinced that there's another dog in the house. I gave him a big-ass soup-bone that was baked in BBQ sauce, again, he went ape****. Barking and lunging at it for a half hour before he started chewing it. He was sure it was still alive. Wish I had a video camera...
