I just got this installed. Thought I'd share.

I wanted to get some projects done on the cruiser. When the radio went that was the last straw. I installed a new relay rod, stereo, power outlets, and a good cleaning after a not-so-successful elk hunt.

Next I installed the ram mount, Kenwood radio, and new GPS nav display/video player for the kids/MP3 player/etc.

Following is a list of the kit.

Latitude XT2 XFR Tablet PC
Before you ask...I didn't pay 3K for the tablet...the unit is substantially less if you purchase it refurbished on dell outlet. That said I can't tell it is a referb unit. I have multiple applications for it, server in my Juniper lab, so it made sense for me. The GPS is not installed yet but I have the cables to do it.

If you are looking for a tablet I saw this unit and like it...2Go PC - Computer Technology Link

Kenwood RC-D710 This unit was already installed, just not mounted. I'm hoping to see more of you on APRS soon.

RAM Mount POD III W/ DBL BALL This was easy to install. I took coat hangers and bent them in the shape I wanted then bent the aluminum rods using the coat hangers as templates.

Power outlets can be had at West Marine

The new radio is a Pioneer with SIRIUS.

Now I've got to figure out how to get APRS data to appear on the display :)
