There was a noise coming from my blower motor so I took it apart. There was a small plastic piece rattling around in there. Problem solved!

Then I noticed how dirty the blades were so I put them under a faucet and cleaned them with paper towel as best as I could.

When I plugged it back in, it was dead. Checked the fuse which was ok.

I'm thinking the water was a really bad idea. Do you think I killed my motor? Could it "dry out", or am I missing something obvious?

I removed the motor, plugged it in and it worked. Reinstalled and it didn't work. Took it out and plugged it in, and installed it while it was on and now it is working.

My best guess is that it was rubbing slightly when installed so it wouldn't turn on. It also was a bit wonky like an off balanced washing machine. It may be time for a new motor.
