How are you guys getting the UOA's to show up? I have a few to post if you can tell me how to get the PDF to show up?

Photogod: So I take it you didn't pay extra and get the TBN?

Raventai or Cary: Do they give you some change interval feedback regardless of whether you get the TBN or not?

Open the PDF and size the document to show up how you want it, hit alt+print screen, paste into photoshop or paint, save!

Ok, here are a few UOA's. The first is my 80, as you can see the lead levels were abnormally low. :bounce:

Second, a 9200 mile UOA from my wife's 525i which I drove for a year before selling it. I drove the car pretty hard which is probably why the lead was as high as it was. It really didn't concern me given the interval. Oil was 0w-40 with one quart of the Mobil 1 5w-40 when I didn't have 0w-40.

Third, is an example of when oil is left in way to long. It was my mother in laws car, she asked me to check the oil and I asked when it had been change. I went ahead and changed it. It was a mix of about 4 quarts Castrol 20w-50, and I added 2 quarts of Chevron Delo 15w-40 a week before the change because it was low. That is why the wear particles are about 30% lower than they would have been and the oil is not thickened out of grade.

yes, they can generally tell by the wear numbers, as stated above Blackstone is conservative, so you can generally follow their advise without worry,

If you are pushing past 5K on dino or 10K on M1 I would get the TBN just to be sure, TBN is not a concern until you get into extended intervals, short trip driving or other factors then less,

Cary that is a nice set, shows a good range from excellent to poor,

I didn't know what the TBN was... They gave me a target of 4700 miles to resend a sample.

The anti wear additive numbers are great with the readings they gave me.
