Black River 4wd roads

Anyone have any experience on good 4wd trips that access the Black River, east of the reservation?. Below where the East Fork and West Fork Merge.

I see a road on my topo software that crosses the river north of Conklin Creek. It would require a long drive to see if it's actually a passable road.

Anyone have any information?

Just been in the area northwest of Point of Pines..

Want to go somewhere where you won't see a soul for days, that is it.

Ended up there once. New Years day 2 years ago. Went to explore lower Eagle Creek by Morenci. Eagle Creek was running too high to navigate downstream. So we crossed the river and started following the GPS north into unkown territory. Just followed roads the gps said were there. 90 dirt road miles of beautiful country later we came out at Point-o-pines. Started at 6am, hit point-o-pines well after dark. We were lost most of the day, but figured we'd come out somewhere. We explored several side roads, found 3 old cabins and lots of great pine tree country.

Actually a great trip.
