New to us black LC200, wife wants to black out all the chrome trim. I can wrap the window trim and the side moldings, the front grill is too complicated to wrap and apparently the rear name plate on the tailgate isnt possible to wrap.

Does anyone have a good source for good replacement parts that are blacked out already? I can find the grill on eBay, the rear name plate from a place in Austraila, and the side moldings from China. I'd love to find a good solution to blackout the trim that isnt eBay parts from China.

Dont really want plasti-dip, seems like a janky solution for an expensive truck.

A little sand paper and spray paint does the trick. Did my front L, wipers, sliders, and rear badging.

You’d be surprised at how far plastidip and similar materials have come. They now have high gloss versions that are actually shiny compared to before when it was all matte. You can always get one can of the high gloss black from DipYourCar and try to delete the chrome on the tailgate. It’ll be a cheap test to see if you like it before you end up spending a lot of money on replacement parts. Not trying to tell you how to spend your money of course but could be a quick, easy solution. It last a long time too. I had my old 4 runner wheels plastidipped and never had peeling or bubbling issues and it came off when I wanted it.

Here is rattle can on my 100 too. It has good staying power when prepared correctly and is easy to touch up when chipped off road.

These guys make a replacement grill that is blacked out: Garage Alpha OffRoad - TRD Style Grilles and Wilderness Style Grilles - https://garagealphaoffroad.com/?srsltid=AfmBOoqv7KA8l7c9KLKjlPdzYRg6WEy2KMUWU04-7DVZ8i0U7xUHhzt_ You can buy some of the trim pieces in blacked out, as well. I think someone on here listed where to get them from on this thread. I bought them, but I can't remember where they came from. It still leaves I think the fronts to wrap.

So I can find all blackout parts except the rear land cruiser trim, only a place in Australia makes it and its about $500 to get it here.
