I bought a clutch master cylinder repair kit, new piston etc, so got my FSM to investigate what's required, got under the truck to check out slave cylinder out of curiosity to follow the clutch fluid path, and I pumped the slave a couple of times by thumb, just to check it was not sticking or leaking anywhere, no problems there.
Ok seems simple enough, I intend to attack master cylinder repair on the weekend,
So I started the Oldtoy to go for cruise this evening and I had no clutch, felt empty, I pumped many times and was able to get resistance( always getting vacum) put into gear off I went , the clutch is only able to change gear very close to floor, and after driving I'm stil requiring to pump again to change gears,
Did i do something wrong by pumping the slave cylinder, ?? Or do I need to bleed or is it perfect timing to repair the master cylinder,
Clutch does not seem to be slipping or losing drive..?.
Parked her on the weekend after 2 days on beach towing camper , no dramas didn't miss a beat, hope I'm not looking at a new clutch..?.

You may have let air backbleed by the cups. Just open the bleeder on the slave and let it run for a minute or so. Make sure you have fluid in the master

Swapped the piston in master cylinder, and trid to bleed it, still no resistance on clutch, so I went to bed and tackled again in morning. Bingo. It's a winner ".
And to finish off , just played with clutch pedal adjuster, just to tweak the pedal engagement "were back in action"

Mmmmm, .....what's next...????.?

Probably a new master cyl,I havent seen too many rebuilds last a long time unless you put a sleeve in there.
