Hey I'm after some electrical help, my BJ74 is overcharging, some background;
- It was all working fine early this year
- I removed and replaced the RHS fender (maybe 4 weeks it was disassembled for)
- I did notice the connector on the voltage regular was slightly corroded, I cleaned it
- Re-assembled and now it charges at 15v
- Initial startup is OK, its after maybe 30seconds to 1min it rises in voltage
- Replaced the voltage regulator and no improvement
- Referring to the video you can see how it behaves, (voltage fluctuating, same with some dash lights)
- It seems to behave slightly better when I turn on the head lamps
- Notice until I turn on the had lamps the two turbo lamps are blinking slightly
Video
Any pointers appreciated. Next step for my was trying a different battery (I have a spare on the bench).
