Has anyone used one of these aftermarket master cylinders before? I am favoring just buying a genuine Toyota rebuild kit vs this one at cruiserparts.net.

Ditto Beno. I blindly bought wheel cylinders from Rock Auto and they were Aisin, exactly as originals with molded logo ground off.

Is that for LHD or RHD? Connections to lines on correct side for you?

I haven't checked that yet. I will be home tomorrow and take a look. I emailed them to see who the manufacture is. Fingers crossed it's an Aisin. Here is a pic of the other side. Can anyone with a JDM 74 take a look and see if it matches?

I have emailed twice to confirm, but no reply yet. The website says it's an Aisin. The reservoir looks a little cheap, like they didn't want to create a mold that matched the OEM one. So they used an existing reservoir and modified it to save money. I wonder if I can use my old reservoir?

This photo is the original MCfrom my '88 JDM BJ74. I replaced it with a larger MC from early 80 series. I had to fabricate a different heat shield. New MC lacks bolt hole for shield at extreme end of cylinder.

I Just realized that the lines don't match! Crap , I already ordered it. This might be a European LHD spec master. I will wait and see if I can massage the lines to fit. Otherwise I will have to do a rebuild. :(

Wishing that I had just ordered the rebuild kit to begin with.
