Bj74 alternator brush holder part number

I'm trying to verify the part number of the alternator brush holder in my 1989 Bj74. I see from Toyodiy.com there are two possibilities 27370-57080 and 27373-57120 cold spec. I also found a denso number from the Diesel part number thread, 021620-2081. I have a spare p/n 27373-57121, which one part source says replaces the 57120, but after taking my alternator apart it's obvious it is not the 57121. The other two numbers (57080 and 2081) I can find very little info on. I also tried to order just the brushes from a Toyota dealer here in Ottawa but I'm told they don't sell them; go figure. Can anybody confirm the p/n needed for a JDM 1989 Bj74 24 volt alternator brush holder? Many thanks.

I see that this thread was all the way from 2016 and you didn’t get any response. Did you ever get this solved. I am having a similar issue. But it appears that the spare 27373-57121 you mentioned may be a replacement for mine. I also have an alternator that was gifted to me that has the brush holder with the internal voltage regulator. Not sure if this was what you had been looking for?

Either way I’d like to buy that spare if it’s the correct one.

I just now realized you had responded to my post. I eventually found a small shop where we, together, soldered in a new set of brushes and it's been operating fine ever since. My BJ74 has an external voltage regulator so the spare I have may be for an internally regulated alternator. One Toyota parts supplier did respond saying part number 27273-57120 has been replaced by 27273-57121.
