I tried to start my engine this afternoon and it cranks but would not turn over. The batteries w Dr e disconnected and stored inside and both are fully charged. I was gone for 3 months and put a fuel stabilizer in before leaving.

I believe it is a fuel issue, because I went to prime the fuel pump and it won't produce any pressure. Tried bleeding the fuel lines and nothing would come out.

Any thoughts?

If nothing comes out then what?
I ordered a new Bosch primer pump as well as the old one was leaking slightly when I would prime.

Is there any way to prime the system temporarily till the new primer arrives?

Don't know, you in San Diego? If so it should be warm enough, was thinking maybe glow screen wasn't working but it probably should still start? Injectors gummed up? Don't know anything else. When I still had my 13B-T I never had any problems with it starting at -40F, but everything was working and I would have it plugged in when not driving.

The banjo bolt on the inlet of the fuel feed pump is the lowest point in the fuel system and crud will settle there. There is a screen in the shank of the banjo-fitting bolt. Crud will also build-up in the inlet stem of the banjo fitting. The fuel inlet banjo bolt is difficult to reach and seldom gets serviced until the engine won't prime and start.

I put the new primer pump. The old one was definitely shot. I was able to prime the fuel lines and there was a lot of air in there. I haven't tried to start it again yet.

The trick sat for about 3 months is it possible it was the primer pump that let the air in the system?

The stock primer pump normally leaks when it's wound out and is at full lift. My guess is if the pump was left like this fuel may have leaked out letting air in. Modern diesel kill the rubber seals in the early injection pumps so have a look around under the pump the after getting her started driving etc.
