BJ73 importation

I am in the process of importing a RHD BJ73 from New Zealand. My broker indicated that I don't have to worry about EPA or DOT regulations because of its age but it still does obviously have to pass inspection. Does anyone have experience with importing RHD vehicles past the 25 yr mark?
