I’ve just notice that my 1985 BJ70 Fuel tank has started leaking. When I investigated the problem, I discover the following:
• it leaks under one of the straps that hold the tank
• the problem wasn’t new… It come from a welding spot (I guess that is solution the previous owner has came up to)
So far, I have applied some paste meant to fix that kind of problems but it isn’t successful since the thank is still leaking.
I would like to know:
1. If someone had this problem in the past and what fix was successful for them or,
2. where I could get a decent second hand or new Fuel tank at a reasonable price
