there may be a special tool for the installation of this large oil seal, its always a challenge even for experienced mechanics not to collapse
the seal wall during insertion.
I was looking for something to flange the seal and suddenly an idea striked right in front of me.
THE CUTOUT HOLE OF THE STARTER MOTOR AT THE FLYWHEEL BACKING PLATE.
Not sure if intensional of toyota or not but its the exact diameter of the seal outer lip potrusion. Providing the perfect installation tool.
Not sure if it only works with the BJ but would be interesting to see if its the same with the 2H or 12HT. Those has similar rear seal frames.
